Challenge yourself and together we can make a difference!
COVID-19 NHS East Surrey and Sussex Get Active Challenge
We have all had help from East Surrey Hospital & Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH) services in some shape or form and now it’s our turn to help them. We know we have a strong passionate community here in Surrey and Sussex so let’s do what we can to directly help them.
STEP 1: Stay home. Protect the NHS. Save lives.
Step 2: Staying mentally and physically active and healthy throughout the lockdown period is also important – use your one daily exercise to earn yourself this unique NHS medal whilst supporting the SASH COVID-19 appeal. We’ve also included home exercises classes as an activity too!
We’ve teamed up with our local NHS charity, SASH to help you stay mentally and physically active and healthy throughout the lockdown period, whilst earning yourself this unique NHS medal and supporting the SASH COVID-19 appeal too.
Tracking, counting or logging your progress is not compulsory, but we do encourage it so that we can collectively meet our target distance – all in dedication to our local NHS heroes.
Exercise can be in any form, any duration and any distance – walk, jog, run, locally (or in your garden if you have one!), cycle, yoga, wheelchairs, pushchairs, YouTube, DVD and even PE with Joe Wicks!
We would love to see your pictures of your isolation exercise while we work together as a community to support our local NHS, share them online using #inthistogether, and tagging @sashcharity – the more local, socially distanced, and fun, the better.
Entry is £12 and other than the cost of your medal and postage, 100% of all proceeds will go directly to SASH and supporting our local heroes.
Walk / Steps
Our combined distance target for this challenge is 30,000 miles with each of you doing what you can towards that and helping raise thousands of pounds for SASH charity and earning a unique NHS medal for your efforts!
